ReSTOR® Multifocal Lens Implant

The ReSTOR® lens, recently approved by the FDA, helped a number of our Houston and Katy patients during its FDA trial at the Whitsett Vision Group. One of only fifteen practices nationwide chosen for testing, we were able to provide feedback to the FDA, as well as learn the nuances and advantages of this IOL. This experience makes us particularly well suited to offer this exciting treatment option.

ReSTOR® lenses are permanent artificial IOLs, designed to improve your vision at all distances. The multifocal technology features apodization, which manages the amount of light delivered to the retina, distributing the appropriate amount of light to near and far focal points, regardless of the natural lighting conditions. ResTOR® lenses improve image quality while minimizing visual disturbances, resulting in clear, crisp vision.

Now, we can provide all of our cataract patients with amazing results with ReSTOR®, giving those who suffer from cataracts a second chance at clearer vision and glasses independence. Whether you’re reading a menu, at work on your computer, or driving, you can rest assured that you will experience high quality vision ReSTOR® Multifocal Lens.

Ready to Schedule?

If you’re ready to schedule a cataract consultation, call Whitsett Vision group today at (713) 365-9099.

Your surgeon will make a tiny incision, less than 1/8 of an inch wide, and use gentle vacuum suction to remove the natural lens from your eye. Next, through the same micro-incision, your ReSTOR® multifocal IOL will be inserted, unfolded, and placed into the proper position. The incision is “self-healing” and usually requires no stitches — it heals quickly and provides a much more comfortable recuperation. The whole procedure usually takes less than 15 minutes.

If you have been diagnosed with cataracts, and wish to reduce or eliminate your dependence on glasses after cataract surgery, you may be a good candidate for a ReSTOR® Multifocal IOL. Our doctors and staff will perform diagnostic testing, and discuss your lifestyle and visual goals to determine if this lens is a good fit for you. The best way to find out if you are a candidate is to schedule a cataract consultation.
