JUVEDERM ™ Helps Smooth
Facial Wrinkles and Skin Folds

As we age, our skin changes. For example, it reduces production of a natural hydrating substance called hyaluronic acid (HA). Over time, the loss of HA results in facial wrinkles and folds, like those ‘parentheses’ lines around the mouth.

JUVEDERM™ injectible gel replaces the HA, bringing back its volume and smoothing away facial wrinkles and folds (also called nasolabia folds). A breakthrough in HA dermal fillers, JUVEDERM is the first smooth-consistency HA gel and only HA filler that is FDA approved to last up to a year.

This is due to an innovative manufacturing process called HYLACROSS™ technology. HYLACROSS gives JUVEDERM its unique smooth-gel properties.

When JUVEDERM was tested in a clinic setting among individuals who did not know which filler they were receiving, nearly 90 percent stated a preference for JUVEDERM. In addition, JUVEDERM injectable gel has been tested on skin phototypes, both male and female.

As with BOTOX, Dr. Woon will counsel potential patients in advance about side effects and risks. The most common side effects following injection include temporary eyelid droop and nausea. Localized pain, infection, inflammation, tenderness, swelling, redness and/or bleeding/bruising may be associated with the injection.

JUVEDERM patients should be older than 18.
