Dr. Whitsett’s complimentary LASIK consultation is designed to provide you pertinent information about your candidacy, not sell you surgery.

More importantly, the process includes valuable testing -- a refractive exam to check your vision prescription AND sophisticated corneal topography. Corneal topography is a diagnostic test that creates a four-color "map" of your cornea, including its shape and other critical measurements.

Additionally, you will view a brief video that explains the LASIK procedure. After this viewing, you will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with Dr. Whitsett to review your results. Dr. Whitsett will help evaluate your candidacy by utilizing his CUSTOM LASIK approach. This methodology involves Dr. Whitsett learning more about your lifestyle and personal needs so that he can provide a realistic assessment of how much LASIK will potentially benefit you, if at all.

Complimentary consultations last between 45 minutes and an hour each, and are scheduled Monday through Friday.

If you decide to proceed, information will be provided about scheduling a follow-up visit for more extensive testing and an exam that includes dilation to ensure no medical problems exist. Because this is a medical exam, a small fee will be charged. This amount will be credited to the global fee if Dr. Whitsett performs your LASIK surgery.
