of correction needed and is competitive with other highly-experienced
surgeons.
An exact amount will be quoted when you visit with Dr.
Whitsett during your free consultation.
Dr. Whitsett charges a global fee which includes:
- Initial evaluation (complimentary even if you decide
not to proceed)
- An in-depth pre-operative consultation and testing
- All standard medications and drops
- Post-operative examinations for one year after the procedure
- An initial enhancement, if needed
Also,
part of the fee compensates the laser center for its facility
usage and pays a royalty fee to VISX for use of its sophisticated
laser technology.

Unfortunately, most health insurance plans consider LASIK
to be an elective procedure.
