Unfortunately, LASIK is most often considered an elective procedure, and therefore not covered by insurance. This does not reflect the effectiveness of LASIK. Rather, if LASIK coverage were provided by insurance companies, most of the population with refractive errors would likely utilize such coverage.

To help combat this situation, Dr. Whitsett has created the Pro Plan. The Pro Plan offers Dr. Whitsett’s lowest charge for LASIK surgery regardless of refractive error.

Flex benefit dollars can be used in the Whitsett Pro Plan, thus increasing the savings. The Pro Plan does not interfere with other company health insurance benefits, and can be a value-added benefit at no cost to the company. To qualify, your company (if self employed) or employer must agree to provide information about Dr. Whitsett’s Pro Plan to all your company’s employees (Dr. Whitsett will provide the materials).
