to speak with Dr.Whitsetts laser vision coordinator
to set a convenient time Monday through Friday.
Phase 2: Visit Dr. Whitsetts office for your complimentary
consultation
This consultation is not a sales pitch. It includes a refractive
exam, corneal mapping and a personal visit with the doctor,
and usually lasts 45 minutes to an hour.
Phase 3: If interested, return for a complete eye exam
During this second visit, your pupil size and corneal thickness
will be measured and a comprehensive dilated eye exam will
be conducted to detect any underlying medical concerns.
This helps develop a precise profile of your eye measurements.
Phase 4: Schedule your LASIK procedure
Dr. Whitsett now performs LASIK surgeries on Thursday and
Friday afternoons at his in-house surgery center.
Phase 5: Have your LASIK procedure and be home within
hours
The actual LASIK procedure takes only minutes per eye.
Including preparation and recovery, you will be at the Whitsett
Vision Center Surgery Center for a few hours maximum. A
friend or family member should be present to drive you home.
Phase 6: Return to Dr. Whitsetts office the following
day for your follow-up exam.
After resting at home, you should be able to drive yourself
to the office the next day and your vision will already
be improving. Dr. Whitsett will visit personally with you.
